Third Mesa Art
Hopi and Native American artwork
Third Mesa Art offers a balance of Hopi and other Native American artwork. Varied selections of handmade Native American jewelry, pottery, Hopi Katsina dolls, beadwork, textiles, and other unique gift ideas are guaranteed to suit any visitors’ needs.
Third Mesa Art emphasizes buying direct from local and regional Artists as much as possible, ensuring purchases from Third Mesa Art are truly part of the Native American culture to take home with you.
“The huge flow of visitors that come through Tuba City on their way to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley don’t see much in the way of Hopi art, jewelry and culture. Very few people have
the time to go out to Hopi and see all the wondrous things that comprise Hopi, our artworks, our people, and our land,” states James Surveyor, owner and operator of Third Mesa Art.
Visitors can get a taste of Hopi culture by Third Mesa Art and all it has to offer.
Third Mesa Art takes its name from the Third Mesa region of Hopi land. The villages of Kykotsmovi, Old Oraibi, Hotevilla, Bacavi, and Moenkopi comprise this region.
James Surveyor, a Hopi from the village of Kykotsmovi combines a fresh outlook with the advice of his mother, Margaret Pooyouma, an experienced businesswoman and artist.
Third Mesa Art continually strives to offer the best in handmade art, jewelry, service, and a taste of the ancient, yet vibrant Hopi culture.
